After two brutal back to back days in the mountains, sprinters were once again ready to shine…106.7km stage with 3 intermediate sprints and 2 cat 4 KOM. The race expected to be fast and furious. Right from the start, attacks started and did not stop until the last 5km to go. Shinichi Fukushima was once again on the offensive and peloton passed the 1st intermediate sprint together. Team TSG worked well for Anuar to take the max 5 points. Gardini finished 2nd and lost 2 points to Anuar. Anuar became the virtual point jersey holder.However Gardini once again was too fast in the finish and took the max 15 points, but Anuar 2nd meant he only lost 1 point so gets to keep the points jersey with 1 point advantage.
