عيد الأضحى‎

عيد الأضحى

Salam. Wishing all my Muslim friends, fellow readers and bloggers a blessed Éid-al-Adha. ‘Eid’ is Arabic for festivity, ‘al’ can of translated to either ‘of’ or ‘the’, in this case, ‘of’, while ‘Adha’ means ‘feast of sacrifice’. Eid al Adha is also known as the Greater Eid. It is a celebration for the Muslims worldwide annually on the 10th Zulhijjah. Zulhijjah is last month of the Islamic calendar

I will write more on the historico religious significance of this celebration in a later post. 🙂
