Ramadhan and Syawal

Salam and greetings . I bought the domain missjewelz.com.my around 2 months ago, at a discounted price. Yet to use it.  missjewelz.com already taken by an online jewelery store ! And just now a friend offered to do blog design for me, free. And free hosting. Customized template etc. and personalized! How awesome is that. I’m truly an end user, i like Photoshoping, I like blogging, uploading photos, downloading journals, using the Windows Movie Maker and watching videos online.  Also recently I subscribed to adsense. Which allows me to  get some income for every click I get on my blog. And now that a generous person has offered to host and do blog design for me, how on earth could I resist?

At the same time contemplating on my future short term plans.. I thought I told myself circa 3 months ago I’m not going to race anymore, for this year.  MUDS was the last race which I took part, where I came in 2nd overall series, and 1st in the final series in UM, overtaking Stephanie Chok the last 500m ! She got tummy pain or somethin.Well, I registered for Standard Chartered Marathon (full), but didn’t run. It would have been my first stand alone marathon. But I didn’t even train for it because my knee was giving in. Instead, I accompanied Rais, who did his 1st 10km. A slow and easy one for me, video recording , laughing and taking photos from the start line, where Stupe, Aileen, Ish and Zabrina were. All doing 10k, registered, pirate ,with Aileen doing her 1st 10k.

I’ve been restraining myself from doing hill workouts (running), the furthest I’ve went  on my feet since June would be any distance between between 10-11km. But since Ramadhan, I’ve stepped my training and fitness, a bit. Been running at max 2 times a week and cycling once a week. I manage to get my uni friends to take up running and train more regularly as well 🙂 The best part of Ramadhan is that the cycling bit will usually happen at night. When its much cooler. 🙂 And that I don’t have to worry about tan lines ! (yeah, i do worry at times ! )Rode at Putrajaya twice, the 1st time was my 1st ride after a long time !!!!! 1st time was with Dicky, Azmar and the gang. Second time around was hosted by me. ‘Slow and easy’ ride konon ! Macam anak ayam lepas reban ada lah ! ayyaa..you know, the moment when you randomly decide that you wanna set a speed limit for a cycling outing, you gotta tell someone to shout at your ears ‘you gotta be joking !’. That targeted speed range was never achieved that Friday night. But we all had fun ! The fun was topped off with a post ride picnic ! 🙂 Around 13 of us that night.

Come 1st raya morning, I went running ! Met up with fellow Pacesetters runners , Sofian , AJ, Siok Bee as well as Doc. Raymond Hee (last 4 names are Ironman !). Raya open houses..eat..! And of course, a few green packets from generous aunties and uncles who think I just finished high school..hahaha (how younger can I look like ! ). Second raya, jalan2 at KLCC, spend time with my brother Yasir, raya at my auntie’s house, and later that night to KLIA to send my brother off, and on the way back home stopped by at McDonald’s drive-thru. 100km ..no big deal.. but big deal coz…

– it was my 1st longest ride after Ironman..i told u , i laid off training ! All for my precious knee.

– it was my 1st attempt to let the sun shine on my skin which haven’t been exposed to the sun for the past 2 months. which I succeeded. There goes the fair skin, and there comes the tan lines ! Shoit..!

– it was my 2nd ride MTDC-LUKUT-MTDC, the same route which I took with the same group nearly 1 year ago ! That was when Azmar fell and broke his clavicle ! I’ve cycled that route a few times too but started from Putrajaya.

– it was the only time I could cycle, video record and eat lemang, all during the same ride ! (since no one  was pushing!  different story line if Abu, Bacin, AJ and Dick were there !)

I was not really looking forward to raya until my brother came back from uni 🙂 And of course, catching up with the rest of the family. 🙂 Manage to watch 2 movies this raya; The Ugly Truth (awesome movie, you gotta watch  it), Final Destination 4 (same old plot.. just different ways of dying..! and uhmm..a sucky ending .. hate it) and the last one was .. The Orphan. Went to watch it with Senn, Arif and Ish. 1st time checking out the TGV at Tropicana City mall. By all mean, go watch a this movie okay..!! If you melt to Russian accent, or practising em, this is the movie for ya ! You hairless little prick (look out for this line!)
